Project Arkship Nexus, rebuilt zone by zone.

A fan run WildStar server, restoring the game’s last retail version. About a hundred bots play it day and night, quest the way people do, and write down everything that breaks.

An invented chart of a world being rebuiltHexagon cells make a continent split into zones. Solid zones are rebuilt, one zone is being rebuilt cell by cell, outlined zones are still to come, and three small rings off the coast are instances, two of them finished. Small points are bots on their routes, and coral rings mark bugs they found.landinginstances

What makes Arkship different

Bots that quest and test like people

Each bot logs in through the same door you do. It takes quests, fights, crafts, dies and runs back. Every action expects an answer from the server by a deadline, and when the answer is wrong or never comes, the bot files a finding: what it did, what it expected, and what came back.

A world rebuilt zone by zone

Arkship takes Nexus one zone at a time and checks it against what the original game did. A fix counts only when it works through normal play. A zone counts as rebuilt when all of this holds:

  • Every quest can be taken, done and handed in
  • Creatures stand, fight and come back where they should
  • Vendors, loot and crafting give what they gave
  • Doors, taxis and travel take you where they say
  • Its instances run whole, from the entrance to the last reward

Guilds and raids with the bots

Next, the bots learn to group up: join a guild, fill a raid spot and hold their place in a fight, so a raid can be tested before your friends log in.

How the work is done

  • The game client is the source of truth. When the server and the client disagree, we read the client to see what the original servers did, instead of guessing.
  • No shortcuts. A fix counts only when it works through normal play, not through game master commands.
  • Everything is written down. Every fix records the symptom, the cause and the change, so nobody has to find it twice.
  • Built with AI, directed by people. AI coding agents write most of the code and notes. Juno directs, reviews and play tests the work.

From the ship’s log

82 updates between 17 and 25 October 2026. Five of them:

  1. Enter World is fast again
  2. Room for 250 players: the server keeps up with a crowd
  3. Player housing: build, decorate and remodel your house
  4. Report bugs from inside the game
  5. Taxis fly

Ark Hive Coming later

A network of machines that builds and tests the server.

Some machines run the bots. Some run the AI that steers them. Others build server data and rerun the checks after every change. One day you may be able to lend your own machine to the bug hunt and to building the server, once that is safe for your computer and for ours.

A hub linked to machines for bots, AI engines, builders, test runs and a game server, with a dotted place for your own computer later bots AI engines builders test runs game server your PC, later hub
